What a year 2023 has been!
Over the course of the year Mary’s team has worked over 17,853 hours collectively booking, preparing and serving Melbourne's best High Tea!
The team baked 77,117 of Mary’s famous fluffy scones over the course of the year, that’s an average of 1483 scones per week! With that many scones we have gone through over 2 tonnes of Mary’s jam! No wonder we are known to have the best scones in Melbourne!
2483 people enjoyed our High Tea at Home. We made 2059 deliveries covering over 3900 kms of road. Father’s Day was our busiest day for High Tea at home with 197 boxes of goodies being delivered.
Over 29,000 people enjoyed High Tea at our beautiful Melbourne High Tea rooms.
Mary’s team hosted 479 private functions. Bridal showers, baby showers and birthdays were the most popular events held at Mary’s this year.
We served 11 different menus throughout the year with the standout being our new summer menu with a delicious strawberry fraisier and chicken caesar sandwich. This is a massive achievement for our Kitchen team as we offer so many different dietary High Tea options including a Low gluten High Tea, Vegan High Tea and Halal High Tea.
As if the kitchen team didn't do enough this year already they also extended our celebration cake range baking and decorating 520 cakes throughout the year. The most popular celebration cake flavour, by no surprise, was vanilla. However the highest selling individual cake was Mary’s Decadent Chocolate cake.
