1. Delicious High Tea menu items
We offer “amazing food and outstanding service”. The High Tea items on Mary’s menu are changed regularly so there is always something new to try! Mary offers two High Tea menu options; Traditional High Tea and Brunch High Tea which are available to functions Wednesday to Sunday from 10 am. Each High Tea menu has 3 sweet items and 4 savoury items and includes unlimited scones with jam and cream. High Tea packages are available from $69 on weekdays and $75 on weekends.

As the name suggests Mary loves cake! We have a large selection of celebration cakes available for you to choose from. Whether you are a vanilla or chocolate cake fan we have something for you!
3. Mary has private tea rooms for High Tea functions
We have two wonderful locations; 558 Sydney Road, Brunswick and 13 Leith Road, Montrose that have private tea rooms for High Tea functions.
Our private tea rooms can cater to small and large High Tea events including baby and bridal showers, birthdays and weddings for between 8-60 guests.
Private tea room hire is available at a fee of $100-$200 Wednesday to Sunday. *Please note that Mary’s private tea rooms are not available for private catering events.
Brunswick High Tea rooms
Our Brunswick venue is a gritty glam tea room nestled in an eclectic terrace close to Melbourne CBD. This venue has three rooms located upstairs and one room on the ground floor.
Our Main tea room at the Brunswick venue is a large room located on the ground floor and has a maximum seated capacity of 50 guests. This room features exposed brick walls and a large crystal chandelier.
Upstairs we have three rooms; Mary’s Reading room, Parlour room and Dressing room.
Montrose High Tea rooms
Our charming Montrose venue is located at the base of Mount Dandenong and has 4 private tea rooms in the single-story cottage surrounded by beautiful English-style gardens.
4. High Tea dietary options
When booking large functions such as a bridal shower, baby shower or birthday you are almost guaranteed to have guests with dietary restrictions. Mary Eats Cake is known for high-quality High Tea dietary options. Offering Vegetarian and Vegan High Tea, Pregnancy and Halal-friendly options as well as a gluten-free High Tea Mary covers a wide variety of dietary options meaning there is something for everyone.
The team at Mary Eats Cake design our dietary menus to fit as closely to our standard menu options to ensure everyone can have a similar experience and flavour profile. When preparing dietary items our team takes extra care to mitigate the risk of cross-contamination, however as all items are made in the same kitchen there is an element of risk for diners with severe allergies.
Please note that Mary only uses high-quality ingredients and therefore charges an additional $4 for vegan, gluten-free and Halal options.
